Clear-Span Design - The absence of internal pillars or posts allows for maximum use of space. The high ceilings allow you ample clearance for moving or storing large equipment.

Naturally Bright for Lower Operating Costs - The translucent fabric cover plus the reflection from the white interior of the fabric increases the natural light within the building. This can reduce or eliminate the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours. A steel or wood building could cost thousands of dollars each year in additional lighting costs.

Easily Relocated - Fabric buildings are designed to be permanent, but can be quickly disassembled and relocated with minimal impact on the environment when compared to steel or wood structures.

Quick to Install - Fabric buildings typically require less lead and construction time than conventional construction, getting you up and running faster.

Lower Project Cost - Total project costs, including construction, can be significantly less than prefabricated steel or wood structures particularly in clear-span applications.

Maintenance Free - The fabric covers are virtually maintenance free. They do not trap dust or dirt and do not require painting or shingling to maintain their clean appearance.

Foundation Options - The flexible nature of a fabric structure accommodates foundation movement. In addition, there are more types of foundations available which can be quicker to install, resulting in less overall expense.

Fabric Buildings - the Perfect Solution For Any Industry

What Makes Norseman Fabric Buildings Different

Not all fabric buildings are the same. When comparing Norseman Structures buildings to other fabric covered buildings, consider these factors:

Manufacturing
  • Superior steel manufacturing methods including precise, laser cut trusses and advanced welding techniques ensure the highest quality framework.
  • Exceptional quality control on the fabric covers by performing continuous fabric strength testing and employing only certified equipment operators. The results are the most durable fabric covered buildings in the industry.
Engineering & Design
  • Norseman Structures building designs meet the same building codes as pre-engineered steel structures.
  • The Commercial Product line is designed in accordance with structural requirements of the International Building Code (IBC) and the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) including CSA A660-10 and CSA S367. Buildings are fully stamped for all jurisdictions.
  • Many insurance companies will not offer insurance for buildings that do not meet requirements of building codes.
  • Norseman Structures designs make no load reductions for structural capacity based upon low exposure, "fabric shedding" and low occupancy factors.
  • Buildings are designed and engineered with combined snow and wind loads in strict accordance with the International Building Code.
  • Heavy gauge steel is used for the frame; ranging from 14 to 7 gauge dependant on region.
  • All components, from screws to cables to trusses, are engineered for structural integrity.
Construction
  • Norseman Structures either; employs its own construction crews; sub-contracts crews that are supervised and trained by Norseman personnel; or provides "tech reps" to supervise alternate company supplied crews.
