Indoor Sports Center | Spratton Hall, The Jubilee Dome

Spratton Hall School is an independent preparatory school for boys and girls aged 4-13 years in Northamptonshire. Norseman Structures is the proud supplier of their 64' wide x 113' long indoor sports facility - The Jubilee Dome.

The facility, which includes a netball, tennis and volleyball court, as well as four badminton courts, provides a building solution that enables sports activities, lessons and after school clubs, to continue even in poor weather.

"The opening of the Jubilee Dome has quite literally transformed the indoor sports at Spratton to the point where we find it hard to remember what it was like before it was there. The facility is used constantly from first thing in the morning through to early evening. I have yet to meet a parent, child, visitor or fellow head teacher who is not awe-struck once they walk inside the door and see the facility," says Stephen Player, Head Master. "Initially we were looking at a traditional sports structure, but as soon as we saw the superb flexibility, value for money and quality of facility that the Norseman building would offer, there was really no debate".

The fully lined and insulated facility provides an unobstructed, column-free area for sports activities. "The dome compliments the beautifully maintained 50 acres of sports fields, the many outside tennis and netball courts, together with our talented sports teams, to ensure the sporting provision at Spratton Hall continues to be outstanding", says Sarah Blason, Head of Girls Games.

The turn-key project included Sport M Dry-Tex flooring from Gerflor in beech grain effect, 7' high rebound boards on one side of the building, and a lightweight gas fired continuous radiant tube heating system. Norseman Structures also supplied Deltalux asymmetric floodlighting and floor fixed wheel-away tennis posts and nets.
